-
What does Stevie Jo write?Fiction, predominately. She has to draw up legal documents all day in her day-job, so writing fiction is a wonderful break and release from the fact-driven legal world. A lot of the unpublished fiction Stevie Jo has written is romance. The "Angel of Death" series is her first foray into the fantasy genre and she is a huge fan of it! She loves having the ability to create her own worlds that differ from the laws of reality. She would like to dip her toe in genres with more bite to them like mystery or thrillers, one day.
-
Where does Stevie Jo reside? She is a double-transplant from Tennessee to Florida and then up to Kentucky, which is the state she calls home. In Lexington, Stevie Jo lives a very full and wonderful life with her husband, two dogs, and cockatiel.

A tip about order Stevie Jo's books: if you go to your local brick and mortar bookstore (such as Barnes & Noble, Joseph Beth, Half-Priced Books, etc.), and ask them to order Stevie Jo's books for you, they should be able to! This is contingent on whether or not they use Ingram for book ordering, but a large quantity of them do. This is also an effective tip for your local public library. The moral of the story? Go to your local bookstore and ask them to order Stevie Jo's books! Part of being a self-published author means Stevie Jo has to present herself to the bookstores instead of having a publicist do it for her. It brings more to her reputation, and increases her chances of being sold on shelves in brick and mortar bookstores (indie and chain), if readers like you have ordered her books. Plus, if you buy at your local indie bookstore, you're supporting an indie author and an indie within your own community. Just tell them Stevie Jo is on Ingram and they will know what to do! Stevie Jo would love to be in a bookstore near you!

What is "Angel of Death" About?Based in a fictional county in eastern Kentucky, "Angel of Death" explores the notion that good and evil are not always as black and white as they seem and may, in fact, often be more alike than they care to admit. In Murr County, Humans and Creatures (were-beasts; mer-folk; magical Creatures known as Mythics; and Sanguis, who were the original "vampires") have co-existed for centuries. Today, Creatures are the dominant species, putting Humans very near to the "endangered species" list by comparison. Humans, desiring to regain the throne at the top of the food chain, have decided they need to "cure" the Creatures of their supposed-illness--not being pure Human. When Creatures retaliate, a battle begins for dominance of Earth. From afar, Heaven and Hell have been watching tensions brew. For centuries, Heaven and Hell agreed to a treaty over Earth and its residence. All of the realms are to assist each other in maintaining a true balance of power. However, with Earth on the bring of the greatest war in history, Heaven and Hell may have to work together in unexpected ways to ensure the survival of all three realms. For a synopsis of each, individual, book in the series, so far, visit the "Angel of Death" tab in the Library on Stevie Jo's website.

What is the difference between the companion guidebooks available right now?Currently, there are two companion guidebooks available: "Eternal Salvation" and "Learning to Fly." "Eternal Salvation" is the first edition guidebook that explores the Heaven Realm, as depicted in the "Angel of Death" book series. Beautifully illustrated by the talented Nishi Studios, this guidebook provides a brief background of the cities in the Kingdom of Heaven with illustrations. The Angels featured in the first three books of the series are also discussed by providing a brief history of how long they've been in Heaven and what their role is in the hierarchy. Please note that this guidebook only discusses Heavenly Angels introduced to the reader through book three, "Veiled Commandments." If you have read beyond the third installment and have met new Heavenly Angels, they will not be included in this guidebook, making this guidebook great for those new to the series and those who love to have a complete collection! "Learning to Fly" is the second edition guidebook that explores the Heaven Realm, as depicted in the "Angel of Death" book series. Stevie Jo experimented with AI-technology illustrations through Canva to create multiple images for each location and character from the Heaven Realm. The Heavenly Angels and cities are explored in more depth to make the characters and cities more three-dimensional. This guidebook includes information about the Heavenly Angels and cities as revealed to readers through book six, "For I Have Sinned," in the series, making this guidebook great for those new to the series and those who are anxiously awaiting the next installment!
